MOMMY-BABY GROUP THAT FOCUSES ON MOMS

Mothers and their babies will gather in a safe, supportive environment and participate in a group whose facilitators are not only professionals in the field of child development, but are also mothers of young children.  While group leaders will be on hand to answer practical questions about developmental milestones or issues realted to babies, the group is primarily designed to facilitate conversation, sharing, support and a sense of community amongst members.  Group topics will vary, but will primarily focuse on the issues that arise for women around parenting.

TIME:                Tuesdays from 9:15a-10:30a

PLACE:              Westport Weston Cooperative Nursery School

FEE:                  $20/session

GROUP LEADERS:

Annie Zimmerli is a psychologist with 10 years of private practice experience working with children and parents in Fairfield County.  Dr. Zimmerli also has 3 children of her own, ages 10, 8 and 4 and both personal and professional experience discussing parenting dilemmas.

 

Tara Covais is a licensed social worker who has worked with children and families in both private practice and preschool settings.  She is a mother of a 19 month old girl and four year old boy.

 

Janet Aspen is a psychologist in private practice who works with mothers and children both individually and in group settings.  Dr. Aspen is also the mother of a two year old boy and 4 year old girl.
